Rockpile Museum - Collect, Preserve, Educate

Discover the fascinating history of Campbell County and northeast Wyoming and learn the story of the Powder River Basin. The Campbell County Rockpile Museum collects, preserves and interprets local and regional history with an emphasis on the culture and people of Campbell County, Wyoming. Permanent and changing exhibitions along with educational programming, performances, and events provide insight into the interesting past and present of the area.

Frontier Relics & Auto Museum - A Nostalgia Trip Through The Ages

Inside Frontier Relics & Auto Museum, you’ll find fascinating examples of a time that once was. Classic cars, Neon signs, porcelain signs, gas pumps, oil & gas memorabilia. All in remarkable condition.Our 13,000 square foot museum features 2 separate vintage towns. Each room uniquely displayed in the style of such buildings found in the 1900s-1950s and decorated with artifacts. Also featured is an indoor “Drive-in theater” that displays classic movies and commercials you and your family can sit and watch during your visit. A mining room with a model railway, and a soda fountain/pharmacy that you can sit in and enjoy ice cream, pinball machines, and classic music. Don’t forget to stop in our Relic’s store on the way out to take home a piece of history!

Wright Centennial Museum - Area Legends & LoreWright Centennial Museum - Area Legends & Lore

The Wright Centennial Museum, in Wright, provides a unique opportunity to witness Wyoming history spanning from the homestead era to the beginning steps of Wyoming becoming the nation’s Energy Capital!

A dedicated group of volunteers has compiled an impressive collection, laced with local legends and lore. From the kitchen and cookstove of pioneer women to the cowboy’s kitchen on the range, the chuckwagon, the museum delivers an interactive opportunity to visualize the stories of Wright and the Bighorn Basin. A knowledgeable team is on hand to answer questions and loves to share the fun tales that accompany many of the museum pieces.

Open May through October.

Tuesday-Friday: 10am-2pm

Saturday: 10am-2pm

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Art Tour

Avenues of Art Walking Tour

Sponsored by the City of Gillette and the Mayor’s Art Council, the Avenues of Art Walking or Driving Tour will take you across town to experience more than 100 sculptures created by local and national artists. Pick up your brochure that features a map and each piece available in the exhibit at the Gillette Visitors Center.
